Seminole Boulevard Crash Kills Pedestrian

She was not in a crosswalk and was in a poorly lit portion of the road, Pinellas deputies said.

SEMINOLE – A St. Petersburg woman died Thursday (Dec. 6) of injuries she received when she was hit by an SUV while crossing Seminole Boulevard, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Felicia Jean Wilkerson, 57, of St. Petersburg, died at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 7:01 p.m. on Seminole Boulevard at 61st Avenue N in Seminiole.

Deputies said Ms. Wilkerson was not in a crosswalk while crossing east to west in a poorly lit area of the roadway when she was hit by a 2001 Honda CRV driven in the curb lane by Alejandro Cruz Perez, 43, of St. Petersburg. Impairment and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
