Little Road Crash Kills Port Richey Motorcyclist

He collided with a van, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey motorcyclist died of injuries he received in a crash on Little Road on Tuesday (July 3) night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Joshua Jordan Ortiz, 20, of Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash. He was wearing a helmet. The other driver was not injured.

The crash happened about 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Little Road and Youth Lane in Pasco County.

Troopers said Harry C. Coble, 75, of Port Richey, was driving a 1998 Dodge Ram van east on Youth Lane. When Coble reached the intersection, he crossed the southbound lanes of Little Road and entered the path of the 2003 Yamaha R6SC motorcycle that Mr. Ortiz was driving south at a high rate of speed in the center lane on Little Road. As a result, the motorcycle hit the left side of the van.
