She drove into oncoming traffic, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Riverview woman died Friday (Sept. 1) in a crash caused when her car traveled across a median into oncoming traffic, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Tiffany Mikayla Ramnarine, 21, of Riverview, died at the scene. Jason Charles Lick, 42, of Apollo Beach, the other driver, was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, Evan Lick, 5, received minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.

The crash happened about 6:55 a.m. on U.S. 41 south of Falls Boulevard. Troopers said Ms. Ramnarine was driving a 2011 Honda Accord south on U.S. 41 in the inside lane when, for an unknown reason, the car traveled onto the grass median then into oncoming traffic. The left front of the Honda hit the left front of a 2013 Dodge Durango driven by Lick.

The Honda spun and came to a rest in the northbound inside lane. The Dodge also spun and came to a rest on the outside grass shoulder.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
