Riverview Motorcyclist Critical After I-4 Crash

He collided with a car while changing lanes, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Riverview motorcyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a car on I-4 on Monday (April 23) night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Cristobal Colon Padilla, 41, of Riverview, was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle, Christopher Kyle Marx, 47, of Palmyra, PA, was not injured.

The crash happened about 7:15 p.m. on eastbound I-4 west of County Line Road in Hillsborough County. Troopers said Padilla was riding a 2004 Suzuki GSX600 east on I-4 in the outside lane.

Padilla crossed into the center lane and hit the left rear of the 2018 Audi A6 that Marx was driving. Padilla was thrown from his motorcycle.
