He was lying in the roadway, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey man died Friday (March 16) when he was hit while lying in the street, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Patrick A.Fitapelli, 29, of New Port Richey, died at the scene.

Troopers said Mr. Fitapelli was lying in the westbound travel lanes of Bougenville Avenue at Raffia Drive about 8:49 p.m. when he was hit by a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Aaron James Sipiczky, 36, of New Port Richey.
