NEW PORT RICHEY – A pedestrian died Saturday (May 12) night in a traffic crash on Bruin Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Christopher J. Ryan, 29, of New Port Richey, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 9:03 p.m. on Bruin Drive south of State Road 52. Austin Patrick Payne, 27, of New Port Richey, was driving a 1992 Buick north on Bruin. Troopers said he failed to see Mr. Ryan who was walking along Bruin and hit him.
