PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey motorcyclist died Saturday (Oct. 13) of injuries he received in a traffic crash on Rowan Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Nathan Thomas Ramboldt, 33, of Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash. He was not impaired, troopers said.

The crash happened about 5:25 a.m. on northbound Rowan Road south of Ridge Road in Pasco County.

Mr. Ramboldt was driving his 2018 motorcycle north on Rowan when, for unknown reasons, he failed to negotiate a curve.

The motorcycle left the road and hit a guardrail on the outside shoulder, troopers said. The impact pushed the motorcycle back onto the roadway and Mr. Ramboldt was thrown from the bike and landed in the roadway.

Mr. Ramboldt was then hit by a 2009 Cadillac driven by Juliana Coffell, 65, of Hudson, who was traveling north on Rowan.
