It is unclear if alcohol was involved in the crash, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey man died early this morning (May 2) when his car crashed after he lost control on U.S. 19 N, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

William Joseph Henion, 34, of Port Richey, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said. It is unclear if he had been drinking.

The crash happened about 2:14 a.m. on U.S. 19 N south of the intersection of Stahl Drive in Pasco County.

Troopers said Mr. Henion was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta north in the inside lane when he lost control of the car. The Volkswagen rotated, left the road and overturned before it collided with an electrical box and then with a concrete pole before coming to a final rest.
