He was thrown from his SUV during the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey man died of injuries he received in a crash late Friday (June 2), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jahan Razdar, 22, of New Port Richey, was taken to the Medical Center of Trinity where he died of his injuries. Ghislaine M. Bellegarde, 72, of Odessa, the other driver, was not injured.

The crash happened about 11:49 p.m. on State Road 54 west of Gladstone Drive. Troopers said Bellegarde was driving a 2002 Suzuki Vitara that was disabled in the eastbound outside travel lane on SR 54. Mr. Razdar, who was driving a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, apparently failed to see the Suzuki and rear ended it.

After the impact, the Toyota spun, crossed the center median and oncoming lanes, and overturned. Mr. Razdar, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the Toyota when it overturned, troopers said.
