Pinellas Wolf Pack Charges 22 with DUI

The wolf pack filed a total of 32 criminal charges and wrote a total of 116 citations during the 10 hours it was active.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Deputies and police from across Pinellas County filed 148 criminal charges and citations during an overnight wolf pack operation, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The countywide DUI wolf pack ran from 7 p.m. Friday (Dec. 21) through 5 this morning (Dec. 22). It was staffed by Pinellas sheriff’s deputies and officers from the St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Kenneth City, Clearwater, Pinellas Park and Largo police departments.

The operation was part of the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of a wolf pack is to educate drivers and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.
