Four teens were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

LARGO – Four teens suffered minor injuries this morning (Oct. 11) in a school bus crash on Ulmerton Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Six high-school age teens were on the bus at the time of the crash. Four were taken to All Children’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The bus driver, Bernand Lee Gant, 67, of St. Petersburg, was cited for careless driving.

The crash happened about 6:36 a.m. at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and 58th Street N in Largo.

Troopers said Gant was driving a 2010 Pinellas County school bus west on Ulmerton in the outside lane. He failed to stop and collided with the rear of a 2015 semi-tractor-trailer driven by William A. Morales, 45, of Valrico, who was stopped for a red light.
