Pinellas Park Crash Kills Teen

At this point in the investigation, alcohol does not appear to be a factor, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

PINELLAS PARK – A St. Petersburg teen died of injuries he received in a traffic crash Wednesday (March 7) on 49th Street N, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

Teo Kulic, 17, of St. Petersburg, died at an area hospital where he was taken after the crash. The other driver, Walter H. Fulford, 71, of Pinellas Park, suffered serious injuries.

The crash happened about 8 p.m. at the intersection of 49th Street and 70th Avenue N. Police said Fulford was driving a 2001 Ford F 150 north on 49th. He was in the westbound turn lane with a yellow traffic signal. Mr. Kulic was driving a 2012 Mazda 5 south on 49th Street in the center lane with a yellow traffic signal. Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided.

At this point in the investigation it does not appear that impairment was a factor, police said. The crash closed the roadway for more than three hours.
