Pedestrian Killed in Starkey Road Crash

He was not in a designated crosswalk, Pinellas deputies said.

SEMINOLE – A Seminole man died Sunday (March 17) when he was hit by a car while crossing Starkey Boulevard, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

David Cunningham, 41, of Seminole, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 1:23 a.m. just north of Park Boulevard in front of 7589 Starkey Road in Seminole.

Deputies said Mr. Cunningham was crossing Starkey Road from east to west, when he was struck by a northbound 2018 Mazda 3. Mr. Cunningham was not in a designated crosswalk.

Impairment and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
