Pedestrian Killed in Pinellas Crash

The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A pedestrian died Tuesday (Aug. 23) night when hit by a car while crossing Roosevelt Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The name of the pedestrian, a 57-year-old St. Petersburg man, is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The crash happened about 9:26 p.m. when the man was crossing Roosevelt east of 60th Street N, not in a crosswalk, troopers said. The man stepped into the path of a 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by Domingue Rashan Brown, 31, of Largo. The man died at the scene. No charges have been filed.
