He was not in a designated crosswalk and there’s evidence the pedestrian had been drinking before the crash, Pinellas sheriff’s deputies said.

SOUTH PASADENA – A St. Pete Beach man was seriously injured Tuesday (Sept. 25) when he was hit while crossing a street in South Pasadena, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Todd A. Hall, 25, of St. Pete Beach, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened about 8:28 p.m. near the intersection of Pasadena Avenue S and Hibiscus Avenue S in South Pasadena.

Nancy Albrecht, 68, of South Pasadena, was driving her 2017 Subaru Forester south on Pasadena Avenue S approaching Hibiscus Avenue when, for unknown reasons, Hall walked into her path. Albrecht could not stop in time and her Subaru struck Hall.

Investigators said Hall was not using a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash and there’s evidence Hall had been drinking before the crash.
