Pedestrian Injured in Pasco Crash

She died of her injuries on Friday (March 2), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey woman was seriously injured when she was hit while crossing U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Brittany Lajoie, 27, of New Port Richey, was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point with serious injuries. Ms. Lajoie died Friday (March 2) at Bayonet Point of her injuries.

The crash happened about 5:13 p.m. on U.S. 19 approaching State Road 52. Troopers said a 2013 Mercedes Benz C250 driven by Miyesha Roshonda Ford, 26, of Port Richey, was headed north on U.S. 19. Lajoie was walking across U.S. 19 and stepped into the path of the Mercedes.
