He “darted” into the path of the first vehicle, FHP troopers said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Seffner man died of injuries he received when he was hit by three vehicles while crossing State Road 574 on Friday (Jan. 4), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Manuel Raposo, 44, of Seffner, died at Tampa General Hospital, where he was taken after the crash. No one else was injured. Alcohol was not a factor, troopers said.

The crash happened about 6:38 p.m. on State Road 574 at Taylor Road in Hillsborough County.

Troopers said Mr. Raposo was waling west in the left turn lane of SR 574 when, for an unknown reason, he “darted into the path” of a 2016 Volkswagen Golf. The passenger side mirror hit Mr. Raposo who fell and was hit again; first by a 2014 Ford F-150 then by a 2016 Kia Sedona.
