Pedestrian Dies in U.S. 19 Crash

A second pedestrian is in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PINELLAS COUNTY – One pedestrian is dead and another critically injured from a crash on U.S. 19 N early this morning (July 31), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Cameron David Bolle, 18, of Palm Harbor, died at the scene. A second pedestrian, Kaylee Marie Cramer, 18, also of Palm Harbor, was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital in critical condition. The driver, Scott Allen Grab, 47, of Palm Harbor, was not injured.

The crash happened about 3:52 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Alderman Road. Troopers said Grab was driving a 2016 Honda Civic north on U.S. 19 N. Mr. Bolle and Cramer were crossing U.S. 19 against a pedestrian walk signal. They traveled into the path of the Honda, which hit both of them.

The northbound lanes of U.S. 19 were closed until 7:10 a.m. because of the crash.
