PASCO COUNTY – A Colorado woman and her dog were killed Friday (May 25) when they walked in front of oncoming traffic while crossing U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Molly May Hancock, 45, of Englewood, CO, died at the scene. Her dog was also killed.

The crash happened about 5:40 a.m. on U.S. 19 N south of New York Avenue in Pasco County.

Troopers said Ms. Hancock was walking her dog across the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 when she walked in front of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Steven Brockway, 37, of Hudson, and a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Patricia Domer, 43, of Spring Hill. Both vehicles hit Ms. Hancock and her dog.
