ST. PETERSBURG – A man died this morning (Dec. 20) of injuries he received in a traffic crash Saturday (Dec. 17), according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Thomas Kenneth Vaughan, 55, died at 5:03 a.m. at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 6:12 p.m. on Fifth Avenue and 29th Street N. Police said a 2003 Lincoln Aviator driven by Deegan was eastbound in the 3000 block of 5th Avenue N approaching 29th Street. A pedestrian was crossing 5th Avenue and, for an unknown reason, police said, Deegan did not see the pedestrian in the roadway and struck him.
