Pedestrian Dies in Hillsborough Avenue Crash
He walked into the path of an oncoming pickup truck, FHP troopers said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Jacksonville man died Tuesday (Jan. 15) when he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Hillsborough Avenue, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Ryan Allen Kaytor, 31, of Jacksonville, died at the scene of the crash.
The crash happened about 7 p.m. on E Hillsborough Avenue east of Orient Road in Hillsborough County.
Troopers said Mr. Kaytor walked across E Hillsborough Avenue and into the path of a westbound 2008 Chevrolet pickup. No charges have been filed.
