PASCO COUNTY – A Holiday man was critically injured Sunday (Feb. 3) when he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Hugh. W. Snow, 92, of Holiday, was taken to the Medical Center at Bayonet Point in critical condition. There were no other injuries.

The crash happened about 3:54 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Sunray Drive in Pasco County.

Troopers said Stephen Hayes Stokes Jr., 51, of Trinity, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet pickup west on Sunray Drive with a green light at the U.S. 19 intersection. Troopers said the Chevrolet failed to yield when it turned right onto U.S. 19 and hit Snow, who was crossing U.S. 19 in a marked crosswalk.
