Pedestrian Critical After 66th Street Crash

She walked into the path of a pickup truck, FHP troopers said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A pedestrian was critically injured when she was hit by a pickup truck Saturday (Dec. 15) while crossing 66th Street, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Theresa Ann Sullivan, 61, of St. Petersburg, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in critical condition. She remained in serious condition this morning (Dec. 16).

The crash happened about 7:06 p.m. on 66th Street N south of 54th Avenue N in Pinellas County.

Troopers said Ms. Sullivan was crossing eastbound across 66th Street N when she walked into the path of a 1986 Toyota pickup driven by Cole Wesley Knapp, 22, of St. Petersburg, which was northbound in the center lane.
