HUDSON – A St. Petersburg teen died of injuries she received in a traffic crash Sunday (June 17) night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Emily Blake Pearson, 16, of St. Petersburg, and her 7-month-old unborn child died at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was taken after the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened about 9:11 p.m. at the Fairway Oaks Plaza shopping center, 13752 Little Road, in Hudson.

Troopers said a 1997 Nissan Maxima driven by Margaret Ann Wallace, 75, of Hudson, was traveling west on the private drive at the Fairway Oaks center. The Nissan emerged from the drive and entered the path of the 1997 Ford Ranger that Dunn was driving south on Little Road. The Nissan hit the passenger side of the Ford.
