Overturned Dump Truck Closes Pasco Road

The driver was not injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – An overturned dump truck closed portions of a Pasco roadway Thursday (Jan. 25), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the dump truck, Maugly Guedes-Rodriguez, 37, of Tampa, was not injured in the crash. Troopers cited him for careless driving.

Guedes-Rodriguez was driving a 1995 Kenworth dump truck south on Prospect Road about 2 p.m. When he got to the intersection of Prospect and Curley Street, troopers said, he was traveling too fast. The truck overturned and spilled its load of dirt on the roadway.
