Off-Road Motorcycle Crash Kills Hernando Man

He lost control of his off-road bike, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

BROOKSVILLE – A Brooksville man died Sunday (July 2) of injuries he received when his off-road motorcycle overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Gary Lee Mitchell, 42, of Brooksville, died at Bayfront Health Brooksville, where he was taken after the crash. He was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 4:25 p.m. on private property on Hayman Road in Brooksville. The bike overturned after Mr. Mitchell lost control of the off-road 2015 KTM 350 he was driving.
