PASCO COUNTY – Two motorcyclists from Ohio died from injuries received Saturday (March 11) in a four-vehicle crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Michael L. Hardesty, 37, died at Wesley Chapel Hospital where he was taken after the crash. Kristin L. Conn, 32, died at the scene. Both were from Chillicothe, OH.Neither was wearing a helmet.

Kathy Nguyen, 16, of Oxford, FL, received minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. There were no other injuries.

The crash happened about 11:03 p.m. on northbound I-75 at mile marker 275. Troopers said Jennifer Bui, 18, of Wesley Chapel, who was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima, did not see the 1996 Honda motorcycle Hardesty was driving because it had no tail light. The Nissan collided with the motorcycle, which propelled the bike into the path of the 2017 Honda Accord that Nguyen was driving and then into the path of a 2000 Lexus RX300 driven by Stephen A. Horn, 52, of Harrisonburg, VA. The motorcycle collided with both the Honda and the Lexus, troopers said. The crash closed portions of the roadway for about six hours.
