Motorcyclist Killed in Lutz Crash

The motorcycle was speeding before the crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

LUTZ – A motorcyclist died Saturday (Feb. 18) in a crash in Lutz, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jamie Aleckson Halley, 25, of Land O’ Lakes, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 6:06 p.m. on U.S. 41 at Second Avenue SE. Troopers said Mr. Halley was driving a 2008 Suzuki GSX 1300 north on U.S. 14 at a high rate of speed. It collided with the passenger side of a 2006 Ford van driven by Cevdut Bengal, 40, of Lutz, who was trying to turn left onto Second Avenue.
