Pinellas deputies say speed was a factor in the crash.

SEMINOLE – A motorcycle driver was seriously injured Friday (March 31) when he was thrown from his bike in a crash on Park Boulevard in Seminole, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jarrod P. Moore, 26, of Lawrenceville, GA, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for serious injuries. Jose Fung, 66, of Largo, the driver of the other vehicle, was not injured.

Deputies said the crash happened about 9:50 a.m. in front of the Seminole Lanes bowling alley, 8680 Park Blvd. in Seminole, when Moore’s 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle struck the driver side rear quarter panel of the 2006 Jaguar that Fung was driving. The impact threw Moore off his bike. Fung’s Jaguar, which had been exiting the Seminole Lanes parking lot to turn west, spun 180 degrees.

Deputies said they do not suspect impairment as a factor but witnesses told them that Moore was driving at a high rate of speed just before the crash.
