Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Bay Pines Boulevard Crash

Alcohol, speed, and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash, Pinellas deputies said.

SEMINOLE – Deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash on Bay Pines Boulevard that left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Guy Valois, 62, of Quebec, Canada, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened about 9 p.m. on Bay Pines Boulevard just west of 95th Street in Seminole.

Deputies said Valois was driving his 2009 Suzuki motorcycle east on Bay Pines Boulevard. As he approached 95th Street, he merged into the left turn lane in front of 9565 Bay Pines Blvd. and hit the median separating the turn lane from the left turn lane for 95th Street. The impact caused Valois to lose control of his motorcycle and he was thrown from the bike.

Alcohol, speed, and impairment do not appear to be factors in this crash.
