Motorcyclist Dies after Pasco Crash

The motorcycle driver was rear-ended, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – A motorcycle driver died Saturday (March 25) from injuries he received when his bike was hit from behind, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

William D. Berry, 73, of Tampa, died at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center where he was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 6:45 a.m. at State Road 52 east of Ehren Cutoff. Troopers said Mr. Berry was driving a 2014 Basha east on SR 52 when he was hit from behind by a 2009 Dodge Caliber driven by Justin J. Howard, 29, of Spring Hill. The Dodge was traveling faster than the motorcycle, troopers said. Howard was not injured in the crash.
