Motorcyclist Dies in Pasco Crash

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey man died Saturday (March 16) in a motorcycle crash on Rancho Del Rio, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

David Clair Brasington, 59, of New Port Richey, died at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet. The other driver was not injured.

The crash happened about 12:49 p.m. at the intersection of Rancho Del Rio and Via Segovia in Pasco County.

Troopers said Tajh Latrail Martin, of Largo, was driving a 2003 Toyota Celica north on Via Segovia. He stopped at the sign at the intersection of Rancho Del Rio, then proceeded into the intersection. The Toyota hit the left rear of the motorcycle Mr. Brasington was driving east on Rancho Del Rio.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Charges are pending, troopers said.
