Motorcyclist Dies in Hillsborough Crash

An SUV collided with the motorcycle in an intersection, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A motorcyclist died Thursday (July 27) night in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Alfonso Q. Rodriguez, 30, of Wimauma, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. No one else was injured in the crash.

The crash happened about 10:18 p.m. Thursday (July 27) at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Valencia Grande Avenue. James F. Flood, 69, of Wimauma, was driving a 2014 Acura MDX south on U.S. 301 in the left turn lane. He turned into the path of the 2016 Honda FXDB that Mr.Rodrigez was riding. The two collided.
