Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Hillsborough Crash

He failed to negotiate a curve in the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A motorcyclist was critically injured Sunday (July 16) when his bike went off the road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Anthony Tyrone Hugee, 32, of Thonotosassa, was taken to Tampa General Hospital with critical injuries. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 3:32 p.m. on U.S. 301 south of Harney Road. Mr. Hugee was riding a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1 north on 301. He failed to negotiate a curve in the road, left 301, entered the outside shoulder, crossed Harney Road and overturned before coming to a final stop.
