Both the motorcyclist and other driver were cited, FHP troopers said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday (Nov. 16) in a crash at Harney Road and N 56th Street, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jacquez Ian Reese-Bolden, 20, of Tampa, was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.

The other driver, Miguel Angel Caceres Isla, 58, of Tampa, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Isla was cited for violation of right of way at a posted stop sign. Troopers said Reese-Bolden was cited for no motorcycle endorsement and traveling too fast for conditions.

The crash happened about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Harney and N 56th Street in Hillsborough County.

Troopers said Isla was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Express west on Harney. He was stopped at a stop sign, then continued into the intersection to make a left turn.

Isla drove into the path of the 2015 Kawasaki that Reese-Bolden was driving north on 56th “at a high rate of speed,” troopers said.

The motorcycle collided with the van and overturned, throwing Reese-Bolden off.
