The motorcycle driver was accused of having no motorcycle endorsement.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A motorcycle driver was seriously injured Friday (April 14) in a hit and run crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Keith Michael Thibodaux, 53, of Largo, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. Troopers said he was charged with one count of not having a motorcycle endorsement.

The crash happened about 2:33 p.m. on southbound I-275 near milepost 39. Troopers said Thibodaux was driving a 2008 Honda south on I-275 when a tan pickup truck strayed from its lane and collided with the motorcycle. Thibodaux lost control of the bike and hit the median wall. The pickup truck fled the scene.

Troopers asked for anyone with information about the crash or the pickup truck’s driver to call the FHP at (813) 631-4020.
