PASCO COUNTY – A motorcycle driver died Saturday (June 10) in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Steven Glenn Willard, 53, of Weeki Wachee, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. Gladys Irene Bethel, 87, of Hudson, and Patricia Ann Hudak, 45, of Spring Hill, the other drivers, were taken to Bayonet Point Hospital in serious condition.

The crash happened about 12:10 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 19 N and Little Road. Troopers said Bethel was driving a 2016 Hyundai west on Little in the outside right turn lane to U.S. 19. Hudak had stopped the 2010 Toyota she was driving in the westbound outside right turn lane on Little.

Bethel failed to stop, troopers said. As a result, the right front of the Hyundai hit the left rear of the Toyota.

After the impact, the Hyundai continued traveling into the path of the Honda motorcyle Mr. Willard was driving. The motorcycle and Hyundai collided.
