Another motorcycle driver received serious injuries in the crash.

PASCO COUNTY – One motorcycle driver died and two others were injured in a six-vehicle crash in Pasco County on Tuesday (March 28), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Donald L. Ross, 77, of Zephyrhills, died at the scene. William Sly, 63, of Hanna, IN, was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Patsy Ross, 74, of Westville, IN, was taken to Florida Hospital Zephyrhills with minor injuries. All were wearing helmets. It is unclear if the Rosses were related.

The crash happened about 10:30 a.m. on Chancy Road approaching Yonkers Boulevard. Troopers said Kara Perrini, 35, of Brooksville, was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty west on Chancy and failed to stop for slower traffic ahead. Perrini rear ended a 2016 Nissan NV2500 driven by Samuel Dail, 54, of Dade City. The impact pushed the Nissan into the rear of a 2013 Chrysler sedan driven by LLoyd Larson, 73, of Mount Pleasant, WI.

After the impact, troopers said, the Jeep crossed into the eastbound lane of Chancy and into the path of three motorcycles. The 1999 Honda TCI that Mr. Ross was driving and the 2017 Honda UTG that Sly was driving hit the left side of the Jeep. The 2009 Honda UG that Patsy Ross was driving ran off the road to avoid a collision and hit a fence.
