Motorcycle Driver Critically Injured in Pinellas Crash

A car drove into the path of the motorcycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A motorcycle driver was critically injured in a crash Saturday (May 13) afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Brian Mueller, 42, of Palm Harbor, was taken to Florida Hospital North with critical injuries after the crash. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said. No one else was injured in the crash.

The crash happened about 6:21 p.m. at the intersection of Alderman Road and E Ridge Drive. A 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by George Giannakoulias, of Palm Harbor, stopped at a stop sign on E Ridge before it pulled across Alderman and into the path of a 2006 Honda motorcycle driven by Mueller, troopers said. The motorcycle and Chevrolet collided.
