PASCO COUNTY – A 19-year-old woman died of injuries she received in a head-on crash Saturday (June 23), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jillian Faith Hitt, 19, of New Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where she was taken after the crash. Raven Brooklyn Jolliff, 23, one of the other drivers and her passenger, Anthoney Lippi, 4, both of New Port Richey, were also take to Bayonet Point with minor injuries. Also taken to Bayonet Point with minor injuries was Madilyn Smith, 1, of New Port Richey, a passenger in the third vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, Kerissa Ashlee Ramson, 25, of New Port Richey was not injured.

The crash happened about 2:01 p.m. at the intersection of Moon Lake Road and Oconne Boulevard in Pasco County.

Jolliff was driving a 2000 Ford F150 south on Moon Lake Road. Ramson had stopped a 1989 GMC Sierra facing south on Moon Lake Road waiting for Ms. Hitt, who was headed north on Moon Lake, to pass so she could turn left onto Oconne.

Troopers said Jolliff failed to see the stopped GMC and swerved to the left to avoid it. As she did, the Ford hit the left rear of the GMC and entered the northbound lanes. The Ford then struck the 2008 Hyundai Accent that Ms. Hitt was driving head on.
