He was crossing Little Road when hit, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey man on a mobility scooter died Thursday (March 14) when he was hit while crossing Little Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Nicholas Sacripante, 94, of Port Richey, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 1:47 p.m. on Little Road south of Fox Hollow drive in Pasco County.

Troopers said Mr. Sacripante was crossing Little when he rode in front of a 2014 Hyundai Elantra being driven south on Little by Ashtyn A. Wilson, 21, of Port Richey.

Troopers said charges are pending.
