Lithia Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Crash

The motorcycle and a tractor-trailer collided, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Lithia man died Wednesday in a Hillsborough County traffic crash, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Wayne Fowler, 27, of Lithia, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 6:30 a.m.on County Road 672 near Sweet Charlie Circle.

Mr. Fowler was driving a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle west on CR 672 at about 45 miles per hour. A Peterbilt tractor, pulling a flatbed trailer, was making a left turn into a construction site across from 14350 CR 672. Deputies said the tractor driver, Noriel Marcos Arteaga, 45, of Lehigh Acres, failed to see the oncoming motorcycle and the tractor was struck in the passenger side fuel tank.
