Largo Man Accused of DUI Manslaughter

The car he was driving overtook and collided with the rear of another vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Largo man has been accused of drunken driving in connection with an Ulmerton Road crash that killed the other driver, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Wendall Lamra McMillan, 56, of Largo, died at the scene.

Nicholas C. Graham, 34, of Largo was charged with DUI manslaughter. Graham, who suffered serious injuried in the crash, is in Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. When released, he will be taken to the Pinellas County Jail.

The crash happened about 2:49 Friday (March 9) on westbound Ulmerton Road just west of Wild Acres Road.

Mr. McMillan was driving a 2015 Kia Forte west on Ulmerton in front of the 2009 Acura TL driven by Graham. Troopers said Graham, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, overtook Mr. McMillan and collided with the Kia’s rear end.

After the impact, the Kia left the road and hit a light pole. The Acura came to rest in the westbound lanes of Ulmerton.
