Hudson Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

He was not wearing a seat belt, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Hudson man died this morning (March 19) when he was thrown from his SUV after it overturned, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Michael Anthony Berry, Jr., 24, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 4:23 a.m. on the U.S.301 access road from southbound I-75. Troopers said Mr. Berry was on the access road when he lost control of the 2003 Jeep SUV he was driving. The SUV left the roadway, overturned and Mr. Berry, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out. It is unclear why he lost control of the SUV.
