A tractor-trailer lost about 200 gallons of diesel fuel after a crash this morning (May 30), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A tractor-trailer lost about 200 gallon of diesel fuel during a crash on an I-4 entrance ramp this morning (May 30), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

There were no injuries in the crash. Troopers said Michael Joseph Martinez, 19, of Orlando, was cited for failing to yield right of way.

The crash happened about 8:05 a.m. at the eastbound entrance ramp to I-4 from State Road 39. Troopers said Martinez, who was driving a 2000 Isuzu SUV, failed to yield to a 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Demetrius Dwight Gray, 40, of Brandon. The Isuzu collided with the tractor-trailer, causing Gray to lose control.

The tractor-trailer jackknifed and collided with the outside guard rail. Both vehicles came to rest on the outside shoulder of the entrance ramp where the tractor-trailer lost about 200 gallons of diesel fuel, troopers said.
