A passenger in one of the cars was seriously injured.

PASCO COUNTY – A Lutz woman died Monday (Dec. 12) of injuries she received in a head-on crash in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Taylor Aspen Perritt, 22, of Lutz, died at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel where she was taken after the crash, troopers said. She was not wearing a seat belt. Faith A. Floridia, 19, of Land O’ Lakes, a passenger in the other car, was taken to Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel with serious injuries.

The crash happened about 12:40 p.m. on Wesley Chapel Boulevard north of State Road 56. Troopers said a Kia Sedona driven by Ryan C. Stein, 18, of Land O’ Lakes, was traveling south on Wesley Chapel. Troopers said Stein lost control of the Kia, which traveled into the northbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Ms. Perritt.
