The other driver is in critical condition.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Gulfport man died Saturday (Dec. 10) in a head-on crash in Pinellas County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jason Miller, 36, of Gulfport, died at the scene. Terrell Salerno, 77, of Palm Harbor, was taken to Bayfront Health in critical condition.

The crash happened about 5:50 p.m. on U.S. 19 north of Lake Tarpon Drive. Troopers said a 2005 Cadillac STS driven by Salerno was traveling southbound on U.S. 19 when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the median and hit head-on the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser that Mr. Miller was driving.
