The Florida Highway Patrol has released pictures of two “persons of interest’ in a hit and run crash that killed a pedestrian earlier this month.

PASCO COUNTY – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for two men who were seen leaving a bar shortly before a pedestrian was hit and killed in a hit and run crash on U.S. 19 earlier this month.

The search for the two men, called “persons of interest” in the crash, arise from an April 11 crash that killed Jamie Dawn Patterson, 46, of Spring Hill. Troopers said Ms. Patterson was crossing U.S. 19 south of State Road 52 about 11:27 p.m. when she traveled into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The front right of the vehicle hit Ms. Patterson who died at the scene. The vehicle fled and was last seen headed east on SR 52. (Click here for related story.)

The vehicle was described as a late model, black in color, four-door sedan with heavy window tint throughout and possible silver pin-striping along the side of the vehicle (possibly a Ford Taurus).

Trooper said surveillance video at the Brass Flamingo, 9034 U.S. 19 in Port Richey, shows two men considered persons of interest in the fatal hit and run crash. Both men were seen leaving the Brass Flamingo and getting into a Tuxedo Black 2015 Ford Taurus Limited before the fatal traffic crash. Troopers want to know their identity.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the FHP by calling 813-558-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
