FDOT Sets Open Houses on Pasco Road Projects

Three construction projects will be presented: Two involve State Road 56 and one for State Road 54.

WESLEY CHAPEL – The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a construction  public open house regarding improvements to State Road 54 and State Road 56 in Pasco County.

The open house will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Feb. 26) in the Conference Center at Pasco-Hernando State College, 2727 Mansfield Blvd., Wesley Chapel. Free parking will be available on the third floor of
the parking garage.

Three construction projects will be represented:

1) SR 56 Interchange at I-75 from County Road 54 to Cypress Ridge Boulevard: convert interchange from a standard diamond interchange to a diverging diamondiInterchange.

2) SR 56 new road construction from Meadow Pointe Boulevard to U.S. 301.

3) SR 54 widening and rehabilitation from CR 577/Curley Road to CR 579/Morris Bridge Road.

There will be no formal presentation. FDOT encourages residents to drop in at their convenience during the above listed hours to review the project display boards, view the SR 56 DDI video, and talk with project staff.
