The department is holding a virtual public hearing today (Dec. 8) to explain the project, which would upgrade medians along 66th Street N between Pasadena Avenue and 58th Avenue N.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Florida Department of Transportation has scheduled a virtual public hearing , or webinar, for the proposed median modifications to 66th Street (State Road 693) between Pasadena Avenue and 58th Avenue N in Pinellas County.

The webinar will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. this evening (Dec. 8) over the internet. It will also be held concurrently at two viewing locations. To participate in the webinar online, advance registration is required. To register for the webinar, go to attendee.gotowebinar.com.

People who register will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about joining the webinar online from a computer. People without access to a computer or the internet may attend the webinar at one of these locations:

St. Petersburg College Health Education Center, Auditorium, 7200 66th St. N, Pinellas Park

FDOT, District Seven Flamingo Conference Room, 11201 N McKinley Drive, Tampa

The webinar opens at  p.m. and a PowerPoint presentation will begin promptly at 6:15 p.m. Please allow adequate log-in time in order to view the presentation in its entirety. After the project PowerPoint presentation has concluded, there will be an opportunity for participants from both viewing locations, and those online, to provide verbal comments to be included in the official VPH record. After the verbal comment portion of the VPH has concluded, the project PowerPoint will run continuously for the duration of the VPH.

This public hearing is being conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons and organizations, and local governments, the opportunity to provide comments to FDOT regarding the proposed median modifications to 66th Street between Pasadena Avenue and 58th Avenue North.

The proposal includes a new traffic separator to be constructed at the following locations:

1) 4th Avenue; 2) Dartmouth Avenue; 3) 8th Avenue; 4) 10th Avenue; 5) Pinellas County Government Center/TJ Maxx; 6) Crosswinds Center; 7) Tyrone Corners; 8) 31st Terrace N; 9) 34th Avenue; 10) IHOP Restaurant/West Coast Radiology Complex; 11) St. Petersburg General Hospital; 12) 40th & 41st avenues N; 13) 42nd & 43rd avenues N; 14) K-Mart Driveway/Harbor Freight Tools Plaza; 15) Plaza 66 Driveway; 16) 48th Avenue N/CR 16 & 49th Avenue N; 17) 50th Avenue N; 18) 51st Avenue N; 19) Planet Fitness and State Farm Insurance driveways; 20) 55th Avenue N; 21) 56th Avenue N; and 22) 58th Avenue N.

FDOT, District Seven, will receive verbal and written comments online and at each webinar.
